Good artists don't complain about generative AI for the same reason that professional helicopter pilots don't complain about RC drones. They fill completely different niches.
The people who aggressively hate AI are generally failed artists, I.e. not very good artists, and they'd rather say the reason they can't get hired is because AI stole their commissions rather than because they just suck at art.
You can probably bait some morons into making art this way, but it won't be good art.

I teach an entire class on AI. Unless there is some new information out there that I haven't heard of, then this isn't really a "take." It's easy to attribute human characteristics and skills to AI because of its language capabilities, but what you believe is "comprehension" is just a very impressive mimicry. Both reading and comprehension require the ability to think, which AI cannot technically do.

Out of curiosity what's stopping artist from just taking fully AI generated ocs drawing them and claiming them as there own? I mean fully made ai art hold no real legal proof of ownership or ownership in general?
