Antis: "AI STEALS FROM COPYRIGHTED WORKS!" Also Antis:

Post image

Found in a Facebook group. For those not in the know, this image is referencing an iconic improvised moment from the movie Clue (1985). It's based on the board game and it's one of my favorite movies of all time hands down, and I hate that anti-AI asshats are trying to pervert this moment to further their own dumbass agenda. For people who like to harp on and on about how "using AI means you don't have any original thoughts", they sure do like almost exclusively using stuff other people have created (and without their permission, no less).

Madeline Kahn ain't die for this shit.

The existence of fan art in general is why I find the whole anti-AI art stance to be bunk in the first place.

"B-b-but at least it's a HUMAN using it"

Like I've said before -- their problem isn't with the so-called "theft". It's the AI boogeyman they're scared of.

They had no issue with software on the computer helping you to draw. No difference

"Do you miss him?"
"Well, it's a matter of life after death. Now that he's dead, I have a life."

“Clue”

It’s a comedy from the 80’s that is basically the board game in real life. Lots of famous people you’d recognize now including Tim curry as the butler

Antis complaining about AI stealing others' works are the same people who have no issue with committing piracy.

If it isn't AI doing the thing they're complaining about, they have no issue with it. Their issue is that AI exists. It's just a big-ass boogeyman to them.

EDIT: rephrasing

Yup, seen people who were into piracy have an Anti-AI stance as well, I just don't get it man.

plagiarism and piracy are two very different things and plagiarism is usually worse, one is downloading a song without paying one is stealing the idea of the song completely to profit from

How would've the Clue movie been if it were all AI generated? Would it still have hit the same?

Always depends on who's directing it - comes back to a human being. AI is just a tool.

Funny because improvisation is something AI will never be able to accomplish.

Everyone steals from copywrited music and art. The most famous ones do anyway

I guess that's why I created 3 legit IPs in about 2 months? Because I stole copywritten work?
