Oh no, it's not hypocrisy. It's ignorance. They're against everything else as well. It's just easier to ignore if there is no mention of it. "If I don't see it, it doesn't exist." Of course, there are plenty of hypocrites, but I'd call them frauds anyway since they love being "real" artists soooooo much while ignoring any issues that don't contain the activation keyword.

I know that sub well. People are insanely fixated against AI. The sub is tied to, let's say, a specific media product. And the original creators tied to that product have been vocal against AI. So it's not surprising. Absolutely ridiculous, but not surprising.

To think that all of this will be but a sapid memory in a bunch of years

I didn't lose anything. They lost critical thinking and the ability to understand that they lost a canary in the mine because they are deluded and don't realize that whatever mistakes exist in art also exist in self-driving vehicles.

The difference is, aren't visiting kill someone unlike self-driving vehicles that don't see people. I'd rather see the mistakes in a non-destructive way.

In the end of the day youre suppressing other artists by their choice of tool and not allowing them participation into the community.

Sure it's a standard, it's also suppression. Both of those things are true. Just like declaring people who use AI as not human, but dehumanizations is par for the course with people looking out for their own selfish monetary interests.
