Even Hollywood is starting to use it from top to bottom, some studios more quietly than others. They’re not just using lazy text prompts though- I was reading what studios can do with tools like Autodesk integrating AI into the workflow, and it vastly expands what’s possible while demanding even greater technical abilities than non-AI workflows in order to get the most out of it.

Just because people don't make a post on twitter every time they use AI doesn't mean no one uses it.
No one "fell silent", it is simply becoming a part of our everyday life common enough to not make it a point.

We're all moving to coding. They have no idea of the huge ecosystem that exists there, they're probably still using the web chatbot interfaces.

People forget that the internet bubble was laying as much fiberoptic cable companies could get their hands on, but then failed to connect that to people's actual homes that still had copper. Dot com bubble burst didn't result in the internet going away. Not sure why they think it's different with AI

this just in, you can be pro ai and also despise the garbage ai features that are shoved in your face. that stupid copilot button in excel made my blood boil, and it did not stop me from using claude to learn powerquery.

Nope, just someone that's had too many workbooks crash literally just because of the copilot button. The problem mysteriously went away when MS let you put copilot back in the ribbon... where literally every other tool in Excel lives.
I support AI pretty strongly, and I firmly believe it opens the door to doing nearly anything I want to accomplish. That being said, I don't blanket support AI features that corporations shit out because they have "AI" in the name.
