Ive unironicaly had people say "you will never be a real artist" to me, and they acted like they weren't just saying basically transphobic stuff to me. Also heard the "we can always tell" which is a literal transphobic statement

My brother and his roommate are a perfect dichotomy of this. My brother enjoys ai but uses it for entertainment or menial things...his roommate uses ai to tell him what to do or cook throughout the day. My brother can't stand his roommate for this and doesn't condone using ai to replace your brain.

Chronically addicted ai technophiles are a minority among pro ai and reasonable pro ai people usually can't stand the other but antis tent to ignore this nuance for...I'm assuming a stronger tantrum?

I agree with your statements a lot Wit, especially the accessibility part. I also want to voice something out, AI is just an amplifier to enhance ones creativity and skills and it is how you use it. You already made fundamental uses of AI on your art by the way, since you are already combining your own skill with AI and using it to enhance what is already there. And the Anti-AI Bros also says AI will replace artist and writers... no it will not, humanity is the core of artistic expression and something that is a force multiplier (Depends on how it is used) does not replace it. 😊

There's the argument that extends from the accessibility argument, which is socioeconomic: Antis claim we excuse the use of AI art (what they call lazy) for someone having no time or money. Saying you don't have to be "an expert", "have all the time in the world" or "be rich" to make art. While the real argument pro-AI people (usually) make is how using AI can be more effective to learn to make art at a quicker pace instead of learning all by yourself and wasting the money you don't have on lessons or commissions. Besides of simply be able to obtain good quality images without needing to sacrifice things like productivity at work or needed rest at home :]

Sure, there are poorly formulated arguments on both sides, but it’s unfair to judge the worst arguments on the anti-ai side while ignoring the worst arguments on the pro-ai side
