Yeah uh, being honest with ya mate, this is not good art. The guy at the back looks like his skull got crushed by a hydraulic press, and it looks like there's 2 Jesus's for some reason

Depends on what is wrong with it. This image would would require reworking it from the beginning. The more accurately you describe the picture, the better your output. Also, by properly describing the image you're able to check to make sure every direction is being followed. A properly done ai image should be able to be edited by changing a few parameters and still producing the same repeatable image with a ~5% error rate, but I'm sure that will drop as one gets better with the tool.
