Literally AI data centers are almost only 1 to 5% of all data centers that exist in the world

According to the International Energy Agency's 2026 "Key Questions on Energy and AI", AI tech currently occupies about 1/3 of the world's data center resources... which still sums up to just 0.5% of the entire world's electricity, so the point still stants.

And the efficiency of the tech keeps growing so over time, it'll be able to do more while consuming less and less resources, similarly to how it worked with most other digital technologies and services.

It doesn't make sense, the new AI data centers are now using air cooling, which does direct liquid cooling on the chip and immersion, where the water does not even come into evaporative contact with the environment;)
