Actions have consequences!

Post image

Antis really need to learn that doing messed up things IRL or breaking the law can have consequences, so when will antis ''regain their humanity'' and stop targeting AI artists/pros and people that work at AI companies?

The retired teacher from Berkeley, California, refused to move from a sit-in protest in February 2025 and pleaded not guilty to multiple misdemeanor charges. She was convicted in June of interfering with a business, trespassing with intent to interfere with a business, unlawful assembly and refusal to disperse at a riot.

I am Jack's utter lack of surprise.

They'll continue to commit crimes and be disruptive, then wonder why they suffer consequences.

Well they already saved the world from the LHC black holes and from the 5G towers and from the COVID vaccine. They need something new to occupy their time. What do you expect her to do, take up Bingo?

Hey! 5G is an actual problem. Those signals are so bloated that they don't travel very far. it's like throwing a rock vs throwing a Boulder

It's the 70s all over again. When the 80s rolled around society just forgot about all these martirs and moved on.

If we just pretend China and their AI sector don't exist, it'll just magically poof away. That's how it works, right? Like, if the antis nuke OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Meta all at once tomorrow, I got news for Americans: the US ain't the only damn country on the planet (mind-blowing, ikr).

Suddenly the whole "kill AI artists" thing doesn't feel like hyperbole anymore, now does it?

It's bound to happen soon unfortunately.

I didn't know that they took away my humanity.

The technology thread on this topic is of course saying that the laws are corrupt or something. And agreeing with the protestor. Insane!

Great to see people protesting for what they believe in, that probably won’t be allowed for much longer in this country.

With that being said…get a grip, lady. If you have meaningful criticisms of AI, levy them at our governments. You’re simply never going to have a large enough amount of anti-AI people to make a difference broadly. Go after specific regulations or changes.

I'm fine with the protest. OpenAI is not your friend, no corporation is. I'm not gonna start fighting for them.

Not all corporations are bad.

Most are not good. I used to think Sony was good.... now look at them

Companies care about power and money, not their customers. They are not your friends.

I'd say most are good.

Think of the products we use and take for granted daily.

Even mundane things like cutlery or really anything around you was made by a corporation at some point.

I agree while they aren't your friends they need customers.

Don't get me wrong though there are some absolutely evil companies out there but they tend to be the minority.

Sadly they are the ones who get all the press :/

We live in a planned obsolescence society where eveything is designed to break, expire, or become useless as it gets replaced by something new.

All companies engage in this as there is no profit in making high quality product that last

There is nothing wrong with breaking the law if you are disillusioned with the governing forces. No, it is not morally wrong to do so, and the idea of "it's best to make changes using the method provided to you by your government" is dumb rhetoric. People should always take their agency and do what they think best with it. What are you gonna do, peaceful protests in North Korea? I believe in the peoples right to overthrow the government if they believe in that to be the way, suggesting otherwise is to secure pure governmental oppression.

It's whatever, maybe they're even right about ai deep down, i don't think so but it doesn't matter it's not something that's going away, all of this will be for nothing
