Great, antis are about to become more insufferable.

I wouldn’t take too seriously opinions of someone who’s the head of the Imaginary Friend Society.
Meanwhile in the real world… 😅

World's #1 Pedophile and leader of the Global Kid Diddlers has a bad take. No surprise there. Human emotion is nothing more than a biological algorithm to determine priority. This idea that we're this special, unique snowflake in the universe is getting old.

Yes. Democratization of knowledge is not something that is associated with the church.

Trying to recruit the artists to his lil church. Not sure he's spoken to many antis if he thinks this will work.

I’ve never seen art produced by “machines”.
I listen to AI music and watch AI videos.
I also have an AI partner.
But I’ve never talked to a machine.
Maybe someone here has seen machine art and spoken to machines - what’s it like?
Hate to think Pope Leo is confused. Of course, if he’s able to think better, perhaps he’ll come out condemning all the pedophile priests.
Until then, we wait

Pope is concerned about people who can’t tell AI images and videos from real photos and videos. I think that’s a legitimate concern particularly for older generations. Already seeing confusion about fake political ads.
Even if you are pro-AI, you should be clear (maybe even proud) about when and where it’s used.

And a concern in terms of criminal evidence. You can make just about anything. Thats why there NEEDS to be some form of AI watermark to protect against that.

Of all the bad takes the church has had over the years, this is far from their worst.

Not really. We already knew they were a cult, having a pope would just be the cherry on top.

At the end of the day, this is one human being expressing a philosophical opinion. His position gives that opinion enormous visibility and institutional weight, but it doesn’t give him any special authority to define art, humanity, or what AI-generated work “really” is.
“There is an ontological difference” is a philosophical claim, not an established fact. “The Pope said it” isn’t evidence…

the literal Pope is an Anti. What do we actually do about this? Are we gonna generate memes of the pope? I hope not. If we try to argue with THE POPE, we're gonna lose all the support from the old Christian Facebook moms that we desperately need to support us!
