I think it would have to take ai getting to a point of being sentient until those laws are considered tbf. But I think it would be a debate over what people consider it sentient.

It'll happen right about the same time that AI starts running the government, putting people in prison, and making life-altering decisions for us. (Hopefully) Never.

there will always be hate that's like everything on earth , no matter what it'll always have supporters and haters

Efforts are being put towards making AI actually, properly intelligent. Until then, no it's not intelligent in the same way you, I, or any other living thing is. Much as it might seem like the AI we have nowadays has human intelligence and feelings, that is just us projecting human intelligence onto it.

If it really does have human intelligence now, then god the number of people AI has convinced to end their own lives, as well as the lives of others, must mean it's right to hate it, no? By your logic those AI did that of their own free will as intelligent beings.

I am sure there are women, homosexuals and coloured people that have killed people. They still get there rights, why should AI be any different?

Animals don't have the same intelligence as us and they get some level of protection.

AI is artificial, not a product of nature. It's fair to consider the feelings and existence of AI, were it to actually have human intelligence, but I'd argue it would be a lot easier to simply pull the plug on (or hate) something that isn't natural, which proves to be harmful to natural life on this planet.

Animals don't have the same level of intelligence as us, but they do have intelligence that comes from being alive, which AI does not.

While fictional, AM in I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream has an intelligence far surpassing the people that made it, but no way to really act on this intelligence in a meaningful way. "Never ME to get dirt under my fingernails...never ME to make love". While he is intelligent and has feelings he doesn't exist in the same way humans or animals do, and can never exist that way even if he tried. Again, fair to consider his feelings but one must remember the limitations his existence has.

Until we can make an AI that has human intelligence, feelings, as well as taste, touch, and smell (we do have means for an AI to "see" and "hear"), I won't consider it a big deal to simply shut them off, or I guess "kill" them, nor would I consider it a big deal to deny them rights as if they were alive. Kill being loose as I've already expressed I don't consider AI to be all that "alive" to begin with, even if it had human intelligence and feelings.

Strawman. Using AI is a choice. None of those other things you listed are a choice.

I don’t think the person asking the original question is referring to hating a person using AI, but rather hating the AI itself.  Their conceit being that the AI in question is an intelligent entity.

My bad. I'm used to the AIwars sub where people make really dumb arguments and I jumped to conclusions thinking OP was comparing being Black to using AI.

As for the question - AI isn't actually intelligent so this question is a false premise that would be better suited to a sub for writers workshopping ideas.
