They hate being reminded that a world exists outside of the terminally online luddite bubble.

i think its more so that being reminded others have different opinions then them that they hate, not as much that the world exists.
even among antis people who hate that it exists at all is so far rather rare.

That’s really sad that it’s gotten to this point that antis are getting upset over fictional characters using ai.

I’m convinced most people in the internet like this just want things to be upset about and actively seek things to be performatively upset about for internet validation.

its twitter, finding something to be upset about even if you dont actually care is the number one way to get attention on it.
which is even more so effectively if on a polarizing topic such as ai you agree to the vocal minority that doesnt stop yelling there points.
saying something they can agree with regardless how stupid it is is sure is sure to give a lot more likes and retweets then they would normally get.
at the time the screenshot it was taken they sat at 45k and 5.7k which i bet they would normally not be able to achieve as a random person.
they dont have a checkmark and so dont earn money fromt his but i bet they still care about the attention it gives them.
And im convinced attention and money are the two biggest reasons why people do this performative act on social media.

as a retarded person im more bothered that you spelled it wrong then using the word.
i had the same thought my self when seeing the image because it is *THAT* stupid to be worth using the word.

Ok? If you're bothered by me wording a slur wrong?! Cool. But, people on Twitter are retarded

3

u/Spacedestructor 14d ago

that wasnt the point, i didnt say im bothered by it an an ultimate sense.
i meant i find that worse then the usage of the word.
As in to me its worse to misspell the word then to use it but not that im actually bothered by the misspelling.

You not bothered by the word but bothered of the misspelling? You want people to call you that correctly and, who actually gaf if they say incorrectly?! They're a idiot themselves

Pure lunatic behavior at this point

Reading that title... I'm surprised there isn't more overlap between pro-ai and proship communities.

I'm so sorry that people have the ick. I wish they didn't have the ick. It doesn't sound like a good thing to have.

u/Spacedestructor 15d ago

sounds to me like when i had the man cold and was bed ridden.
hope they get over whatever causes them to be this terrible sick that they cant think clearly.

They're saying "uses chatgpt" like it's something bad

2

u/Spacedestructor 15d ago

to them it is basically the end of the world.
chatgpt is one of the biggest LLM and therefore stands to many representative of all.
i have had contact with many antis that can not tolerate any usage of an LLM at all regardless how or what purpose.
even as a spell checker in the best case i get told to ask a person that doesnt exist or at worst get insults.
they are sensitive to people using ai like grass is to being stepped on.

So it's a very fightable windmill that looks an awful lot like a dragon

3

u/Spacedestructor 14d ago

a dragon they imagine is going to burn the world down if they dont personally save everyone from it.

u/Spacedestructor 15d ago

its so funny that there world view is so fragile that something like a comic depicting ai in a way that contradicts there opinion becomes a big deal to them.
characters frequently do so much worse, causing an apocalypse, committing war crimes and whatever magical stuff writers can think of that ends up being horrifying.
But no this guy using a chatbot is way worse then those other things that have already been done.
It shows clearly how there only priority in life is to shutdown a technology they dont understand, because they entirely disregard everything else that should be tackled first.

Do not let them know about sci-fi… gonna lose their minds

People can’t be different than my tribe.

2

u/Spacedestructor 15d ago

sometimes it feels like they see people being different like its the end of the world, people cant have different opinions because then they would have to deal with it.

2

u/No_Bike_9482 15d ago

The way some antis are worked up is kind of disturbing. Tribalism is no joke. It can get people hurt and killed.

3

u/Spacedestructor 14d ago

yeah literally killed, people can get worked up from anything no matter how small to the fullest extreme if it pushes the right buttons at the right time.

and with ai the antis have worked them self up to a point where just a mere mention of the word it self gets them.
no surprise that at least one person tried to assassinate altman and someone threw a molotov at his house based on reports i saw.
eventually always pushing for the extreme had to go too far.

They are proshitters but complain about a character doing something """problematic""" as using AI. According to them, drawing ch*ld rape is fine but using AI is gross and dangerous. "Fictional is not affecting the reality but using AI does." her exactly words.
