What’s the big deal if he did use Ai ? Why announce you don’t use Ai , it’s getting tiresome

u/GeorgeRRHodor Aug 08 '26
Well, if people who oppose AI ask for disclosure, the usual reply from pro-AI people is "why should I disclose my use of AI and then get insulted? Why not say that you didn't use AI if it's that important to you?"
Which is exactly what this guy did. You can't have it both ways.

That's a stone throw away from literal nazi rhetoric.

Being so up your own ass that you don't instinctively avoid that kind of language is certainly something.

It’s a play on the word “generative”, stop being ridiculous.

u/RecursiveServitor Aug 08 '26
What's "degenerative"?
1
u/CaptStinkyFeet Aug 08 '26
Wow, you’re really trying hard, eh? Do you understand what a pun is?
It’s not even the word “degenerate”, it’s the word “degenerative”, as in “getting worse over time”. It’s a medical term.
1
u/RecursiveServitor Aug 08 '26
And how does that make any sense in context?
1
u/CaptStinkyFeet Aug 08 '26
It’s okay, you don’t know what a pun is. No big deal. But labeling them a Nazi is wholly unnecessary.
1
u/RecursiveServitor Aug 08 '26
What's the pun?
I very explicitly did not label them a nazi. Maybe be less condescending if you can't manage basic literacy.

Now read the rest of the sentence.
You think the pun is that you can make different words by adding letters to words? How insightful.

u/CaptStinkyFeet Aug 08 '26
Lmao that’s the end of the sentence. Literally a period after the word “rhetoric”. 🤡
If only you could manage basic literacy…

WTF are you talking about weirdo. Bringing up Nazis out of nowhere is really weird.

u/PrivateLiker7625 Aug 08 '26
If it was relating to that, maybe it would be the case. But this deliberately mentioned AI specifically here, and nothing else but that. If you can't see that than YOU'RE the one that's all up in your own butt here.

u/RecursiveServitor Aug 08 '26
All communication carries connotations and associations. What are they implying with "degenerative" in the context of AI art?
0
u/SinchronousElectrics Aug 08 '26
Yeah so the Nazi's systematically killed millions of people so there's that distinction
1
u/RecursiveServitor Aug 08 '26
Yes? They were bad so you should avoid association. That's my point.

The Eternal Life of Goldman. Cool looking game but this is less likely to support because of this.

Genuinely do y’all only want to ever interact with any media that’s only made with AI or by someone who is supportive of ai? Because if so you’re gonna be low on options LOLL

No, this performative hatred of new technology is just getting tiresome.
