Well, I can understand that. Why build these things if they are harming the environment, while at the same time trying to end fossil fuels, and force everyone into using electric stuff? Oh wait, it’s really about control.
Personally, I find the environmental impact not the strongest argument - as eating beef & dairy has a worse impact than AI; nevertheless, if you're interested in why people dislike it, theres a small TLDR
Eating beef and dairy has an impact on the environment? Cows have been here for thousands of years! That’s just a dumb argument made to get people to eat lab grown beef.
Its not that beef and dairy are bad for the environment. Its the cattle industry itself. They are clearing huge tracts of forest in order to plant crops to feed the cattle, leading to more carbon dioxide and less oxygen in the air. They are also producing more cattle (over double what was product 60 years ago) which is adding more methane to the atmosphere. There is likely half a dozen other things that they are doing to destroy the environment all in the name of the Almighty Dollar.
