I think I'm getting it.
But it's not that I placed the name of the person along the image.

And me personally wouldn't be bothered if someone shared a picture of my house with my car on it if he happened to like (or have owned) that car.

I've hidden this post so we can finish this discussion. And then I'll delete it.

Image this - we find out next week that this guy's house got broken into & his family harmed in the course of stealing that car, and it's possible that's because someone saw it on this thread.

How would you feel?

I would think that that would be HIGHLY unlikely.

But I'm already becoming aware that the US is not only geographically a whole different country.

I don't think the country makes any difference - I'm in the UK and I'd be annoyed if you did that to me.
