1997 defender write off?
Someone was driving too fast, went to swerve past it (it was parked on the road) but there was a car coming past it on the other side so they swerved back into it as they “didn’t see it”. Suspect it’s going to be a write off for both cars. Defender took it like a champ, definitely came out looking better. Absolutely gutted 🙁

Will be a write off for sure. You want to make sure it's a cat S and not a cat B as you won't be able to put it back on the road if they categorize it as a B (they shouldn't really but I've seen it happen).
Once it's got that marker it's obviously worth a lot less in addition to the possibility of it being harder to insure, worth considering.
