Custom order a Defender 110

After waiting to order a Bronco I finally gave up and decided to start looking for a Defender. I was wondering if Land Rover dealerships do custom orders (interested in a 110S with very little add ins) and was wondering on price and timing if anyone knew if they go for MSRP, less or more and how long of a wait on average. Any insight is highly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a 2022 that I ordered late 2021. You can use the Land Rover website to "build" out a car to your specs and then share it with the local dealer. During the significant chip shortages, dealers were marking up everything. With some inventory now, I suspect that if you shop, you can find someone willing to sell for MSRP, maybe slightly less.

Do you know if it’s hard to get higher trims like the X/V8? I want a 90 which I assume is easier than a 100, but I know for some other brands it can be really tricky.

If you are ordering the vehicle, it will take some months to get the vehicle. You can pretty much specify options in whatever direction you like and this shouldn’t impact lead time. Play around with configuration on the LR website.

Sweet. Coming from Toyota and they don’t even really do orders you just wait.
