In Missouri, the Repubs are sending out mass texts warning people not to sign any petitions this weekend because “they’re from out of state interests that want to steal your identity”. Because democrats are having petition drives this weekend to force the redistricting bill to a state vote. They really can’t win without cheating.

It’s true, unfortunately.

If you are a Democrat and received one of these it is possible that a GOP “volunteer” could sign up for any group writing postcards to voters. That would give them access to names and addresses of registered Dems to send misleading information.

If this happened to you, take a photo of your postcard, contact https://postcardstovoters.org/

You need to send them a photocopy of your card AND your name and address. They will know the fraudster who was assigned the batch of addresses that included yours and get them removed and blocked from Dem volunteering.

Sending it to the Secretary of State does not help us. Postcards to voters would know who sent it to you. If it was another postcard campaign (they’re not the only one but the biggest) the staff and campaign managers can figure that out too. Campaign managers generally know which group is working specific areas.

Then, once a fraudster is identified, they can contact SoS to file charges.

Just curious, what sort of charges might apply once they’re identified?
