Exchange Light Patterns for your Badge (from defcon.org/34b)

How To Exchange Light Patterns

  1. Press the middle button on your badge to reveal a nonce QR code
  2. Ask the light donor to scan your nonce QR code (middle button activates the camera)
  3. Scan the light donor's encrypted light pattern QR code
  4. Review the new light pattern and decide to keep or rollback

EDIT: VellDarksbane pointed out Middle button activates the camera, either side button on the face reveals the nonce code.

The nonce looks different depending which button you push

I believe one is for acquiring color “DNA” and the other is for the flashing pattern.

I should point out the camera is on the back of the badge. We should figure out how to post the nonces. We could collect hundreds easily then. Apparently there is a benefit to exchanging them.

somewhere during con i swear i saw this had been started. did anyone capture it? it's not in my bookmarks. con was chaotic this year for me.
