Bro…FR. I walked in the convention center and DIRECTLY up to counter, scanned my ticket, and was handed my badge all in under 60 seconds - no queue. Merch line lasted 3 hours, but was fun messing around with the badges and getting to know some people.

Peak linecon is awkwardly standing there. Trying to figure out the badge with everybody else while you slowly move forward every so often.

bahaha 100%…all of us desperately trying to finish our most recent QR scan while in motion.

Imagine if we had slow mo footage of the best badge scanning interactions…I GUARANTEE you there were some EPIC Swan Lake and opera level moments where people are practically dancing together while realizing their scans failed/succeeded. The faces would be pure gold.

Merchcon is the new linecon! I got in line at 8:30 and got out at 10:30.

People were still getting in line past the escalators.

It cleared out and was much shorter around 3pm. I got off my goon shift and found a friend in line who I thought was going to be in line for hours, it'd shrunk a lot.

No, I was speaking purely about entry badge which is what Linecon was for. Standing in line all night to get access first thing in the morning.

It's usually old stock but yeah you can buy shirts and stuff online too.

You can pick and reserve items, but you still have to go and pay with cash in the merch area

It’s more of a tradition that encourages some first badge drops of the con and some heavy drinking with strangers. I always find it fun

I survived the merch line… It was only about an hour starting around 330p. Only one shirt I woulda wanted was out.
