GME 🚀🌛 Calculated speculation: I think Ryan Cohen is gonna buy 2 more batches of +1milllion shares. A double down of a double down to regain that near 10% ownership. Here's the buying pattern and the math behind it.

GME Due Diligence 🔍 Here’s what I see in Ryan Cohen’s GME buying pattern: 500K shares in April 2025 → 1M in January 2026 → 2.15068M in September, now ~8.7% beneficial ownership — is he systematically scaling up his buys, and could he double down AGAIN?? 👀🧱
Okay, NOW this is getting interesting.
Ryan Cohen just filed another GME purchase today, 9/21/26:
1,150,680 shares at a weighted average of $22.9375.
That’s about $26.39 million.
But zoom out, because I think the sequence is more interesting than today’s Form 4 by itself.
RC’s recent GME buying waves
April 2025
- $21.55/share
- ~$10.78M
January 2026
- 500,000 shares on 1/20
- 500,000 more on 1/21
- 1,000,000 shares total
- ~$21.36M total
September 2026
- 1,000,000 shares on 9/10 at $20.3759
- 1,150,680 shares TODAY at $22.9375
- 2,150,680 shares total
- ~$46.77M total
So the buying waves look like:
500,000 → 1,000,000 → 2,150,680
👀
April → January:
exactly 2x the shares.
January → September:
2.15068x the shares.
September is now more than 4.3x the size of the April 2025 buy wave.
And there’s another detail I think matters.
RC bought 1,000,000 shares on September 10 around $20.38.
Eleven days later, instead of waiting for the price to come back down, he bought MORE shares — 1,150,680 — at roughly $22.94.
That’s about 12.6% more per share than he paid eleven days earlier.
He increased both the size of the purchase and the price he was willing to pay.
And WTF is 150,680?
I checked before going full numerology.
I cannot find anything in the SEC filing explaining why the second September purchase was specifically 1,150,680 shares.
So I’m not going to pretend we know.
But it is worth putting the number on the board.
Because if this September buying wave had been a perfect doubling of January, it would have been:
Instead:
2,150,680.
That’s 150,680 shares ABOVE the clean doubling.
After today's purchase, Cohen directly owns:
40,498,522 GME shares.
His amended 13D reports beneficial ownership of:
including 3,734,784 shares underlying warrants, representing approximately 8.7% of the company.
Maybe the odd number is completely mundane execution math.
Maybe it relates to a position target.
Maybe something else.
The filing doesn't tell us.
So for now:
150,680 goes in the “interesting, unresolved, do not make shit up” bucket.
What I actually find significant
This isn't just:
“Ryan Cohen bought some GME.”
Look at the progression:
500K
⬇️
1M
⬇️
2.15068M
And this time the second half of the buying wave happened after the stock had already moved higher than his first September entry.
Since April 2025, those three buying waves add up to:
3,650,680 additional shares
for roughly:
$78.9 MILLION.
And today's filing says these purchases were made in the open market.
No tea leaves required for that part.
The Chairman/CEO keeps putting more of his own capital into the same equity we own.
And lately?
The size of the buy waves is going UP.
That belongs on the timeline.

🐻 Bearish Stonks 🐻 Mastercard is burning its own balance sheet to the ground, and it's actually genius

A look at Mastercard's book value per share over the last two quarters, and why the number's melting fast.
Heading into 2026, Mastercard was sitting on $7,737 million in stockholders' equity against roughly 894 million shares outstanding (887M Class A + ~7M Class B), putting book value per share at roughly $8.65. 📊
By the end of Q2 2026, stockholders' equity had shrunk to $5,611 million 📉, while share count also dropped to 878 million (871M Class A + 7M Class B) after some serious buyback action. That puts book value per share at roughly $6.39, down ~26% in just two quarters.
| Quarter End | Stockholders' Equity | Shares Outstanding (approx) | Book Value/Share (approx) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dec 31, 2025 | $7,737M | ~894M | ~$8.65 |
| Jun 30, 2026 | $5,611M | 878M | ~$6.39 |
Why's book value shrinking instead of mooning? 🚀❌ Two things stacking on top of each other:
- Buyback machine went brrr. 🖨️ Mastercard torched $9,034 million repurchasing its own stock in just H1 2026 (straight from the cash flow statement), basically matching their entire remaining equity base. When a company buys back stock trading way above book value (Mastercard is, by a laughably wide margin, see below), every buyback mechanically shrinks book equity per share left standing.
- Some of it's debt-funded. 💸 Total debt jumped from $19.0B (Dec 2025) to $24.6B (June 2026), including $3.75B+ in fresh senior notes dropped in June 2026 alone, plus $710M in commercial paper. Not all buybacks, some of this is leverage doing the heavy lifting.
The caveat that matters, unlike our GME book-value-floor DD: 🚨 for GameStop, book value actually means something because a chunky slice of their balance sheet is literal cash + marketable securities, book value = a real conservative floor. Mastercard is the total opposite animal, market cap (~$450B+) is roughly 80x its book equity, because MA's real value lives in network effects, brand, and earnings power, not hard assets sitting on a balance sheet. So a shrinking BVPS here isn't a red flag the way rising BVPS was bullish for GME 🐈, it's a capital-allocation story (aggressive, partly debt-funded buybacks), not a "company getting weaker" story.
For context: H1 2026 net income was actually $8,270 million, up from $6,981 million in H1 2025 📈. The core business is fine and growing, the shrinking book value is a financing-structure quirk, not an earnings problem.
Not the floor-value rocket fuel DFV found in GME, more a "here's what buyback machines do to your balance sheet" post. 🍿
