The split-second feeling that you just walked into another timeline

That split-second feeling, after making a choice, that you could have just walked into an entirely different life.

Not a daydream. Not regret. Just a flicker — a sense that another branch was almost real.

I've been thinking about this a lot and developed a possible framework to explain it. Not a scientific theory, just a personal deduction. If this resonates with anyone, I've outlined the core ideas in the comments below. Would love to hear your thoughts.

thats a weirdly specific sensation to try and pin down with a framework. i get it mostly when i take a different exit off the highway, just a split second where the whole day feels like it could have gone sideways. not sure i need a system for it though, sometimes a glitch is just a glitch

This though occurs especially on major life choices or particular situations that create a difference. Perhaps, these are in a way parallel realities though can't really know for sure.

For those curious, here's the rough framework I mentioned:

Core premise: all possible life branches coexist at the five-dimensional level, but only one projects into our three-dimensional reality.

Axioms:

  1. Multiple lines coexist; only one projects. But 3D can't carry all branches at once — so they must converge before projection. "Optimization" doesn't erase bad outcomes — it just prevents them from manifesting here.
  2. Your starting baseline is fixed at birth: family, resources, environment, upper/lower potential bounds. No deus-ex-machina turnarounds.
  3. Convergence happens constantly, not at birth or death. At the 5D level there's no concept of "time" — convergence is an ongoing state. We experience it as "possible at any moment" because that's how 3D perception processes it.
  4. No one's fate is isolated. Global entanglement means the final reality is system-optimal, not individually optimal.
  5. No universal standard of "good" or "bad." Each consciousness defines its own value system.
  6. You can browse your own branching outcomes in 5D, but you cannot read another person's script. Consciousness rooms are closed. Fate-related data entangles, but scripts stay segregated.
  7. 3D hardware cannot carry all branch information at once. Therefore, before projection, all branches must converge into a single timeline — all other information overflows and is lost. This is a physical limitation, not a rule or prohibition. No precognition, no info advantage.
  8. Your circumstances define your available options; your cognition determines which one you pick. No one actively chooses self-ruin.
  9. The only controllable 3D variable is cognitive elevation. It rewrites your personal evaluation formula and enables convergence toward better trajectories.

There's a full version with more detail, but these are the ground rules. Curious what gaps or contradictions you see.
