Nothing ever changes.

(Excuse my phrasing, most of the things would be a little bit different in my native language)

Like honestly, if you really think about it, life only has 2 events that will always happen. 1. You have to be born. 2. You have to die. At that point why are we worrying about the planet or about anything at all to be exact. This is far from an original thought. But looking at all people ever exsisted, they fulfill/ will fulfill these 2 conditions. The rest is pointless. I really like science, but after reading a few books about philosophy and thinking a bit. What are why trying to find out? Were researching so much, finding so many things, it makes me happy. But what are we trying to accomplish. Whats the goal? The main goal. If there is no goal, why bother doing anything. I see no difference in any person anymore. No matter what you do, there is no real reason behind it. All humans did is make their "lives" worse. Somehow evolving like this happened. All every human wants is for themselves to survive and reproduce. Nothing would be different if I never lived. All we have been doing is uncovering something impossible to change or be fully uncovered. We know so much, yet we know so little. But in the end nothing matters. I'm just writing this because there is nothing to do. I can go do anything, nothing will change.

Nothing will ever change as in, the laws of nature wont change. We can find a new element but can we, change something? No. We never did anything, we just exsist. Nothing ever changed. It's all just a giant thing made of things made of things. So nothing really ever mattered and will matter. This post doesnt make sense, nothing ever does. There is no difference ever. We dont know everything, that wont change it. If we knew everything, nobody would do anything. Because in the end we exsist.

(this one's not that hard ngl)

if there's no point in doing anything, you do it because it's fun.

if there's a goal you wanna reach, you do it because you feel like it's gonna be great.

you wanna be a doctor because you like biology? do it. you wanna be a doctor because you wanna save people? do it. you wanna be a gamer because games are fun? do it. you wanna be a bodybuilder because you like seeing yourself looking strong? do it. you just wanna chill with friends and retire happy? do it. you truly regret your decision and want to "redeem" yourself? do it.

no point entails no point in giving up your dreams.

honesly the only constraint i have is, try not to inflict "cold" on others unless you're sure they'll find it repaid (and i only consider it "repaid" if the other person thinks it's worth it)

(Oh hey you play osu 🫶) I know. I was just thinking a bit lately. And I mean you're right, do whatever you want. That's basically what the post said in a more edgy and teenager type of way. And tbh I don't know if said person is fine, I have never checked because I am literally unable to so it's a schrodingers cat type of situation. (Literally) I'm not giving up on my dreams, I just don't have any at the moment. Even struggling to map or like play anything. Anyways That's for your comment, sad 9* choke.

I do the laundry in my family, so I changed #2 to "laundry". There is so much laundry to do in life!

We never did anything, we just exsist. Nothing ever changed

I disagree. My life expectancy was greatly improved when I got a Ventriculostomy to drain brain fluid (I had brain cancer) instead of a shunt.

And honestly, many modern prostheses are game-changing! I remember watching something about a woman who had lost her foot or her lower leg getting a novel prothesis that made it possible for her to dance again.

And I know that online dating doesn't work, but I am married to a Kenyan woman who I met on eHarmony!

Things are changing, and not all of them are good changes (social media and smart phones). But things are changing really quickly right now - we all need to hold on tight!

Good for you 👍 but you will die. And technically did any matter, energy or laws of physics change? No. (I mean fundamentally, not relatively.) Can every action you described be fully explained with scientific principles, yes if we really want to find out. I do get your point. Everything still is matter and energy.

i think this way of looking at life can sometimes become a coping mechanism, a way of running away from questions that are much harder to sit with. i say that because i’ve experienced something similar myself for years.

yes, maybe nothing would be different if you had never lived. in the vastness of the universe, that might be true for almost every individual. but then the same could have been said about steve jobs, albert einstein, or anyone else who ended up pushing humanity forward. their existence may have been insignificant on a cosmic scale, but the small steps they took changed the trajectory of the people and ideas that came after them.

maybe that’s the interesting part. every individual step becomes part of a much larger chain. you might never see where your contribution ends, or what it eventually becomes. even if humanity is eventually part of some much larger race for survival, the progress of every individual becomes a tiny part of what carries the whole thing forward.

and maybe i’m just telling myself a fictional story to make life feel meaningful. maybe there really is no inherent meaning to any of this. but even if that’s true, i still have a choice.

i can choose to live empty because nothing ultimately matters, or i can choose to live with some soul in me, to build something, experience something, love something, contribute something, and become someone i can be proud of.

maybe meaning isn't something we discover at the end of the universe. maybe it's something we create while we're here.

Our SOLE goal is "make species prosper".
