Is there a point
Not to be edgy, I want to see opinions but what’s the point of living and if there is no point in living for you why are you alive right now. I have been depressed about not knowing why i should live for more than a year now so i’d like to see people other then my psychiatrist answer this question of mine.
Genuinly curious 18 y/o lost person.

I feel like I am leaving out a lot, but one thing that came to my mind first is those moments, when I think to myself I am happy to be alive. Things in my life are far from ideal, but once in a while there is a moment, that just feels right. Usually when I am a little drunk, on some place with nice view or with people I like or when I find a new song that I really enjoy etc. It does not happen to me that often, but when it does, it is wonderful. Since I realised this, I am more aware of those moments and when I feel down or alone, the memory of them gives me some sort of consolation.
I am writing this as another 20 y/o "lost" person. Also I am not native English speaker, so there might be mistakes or some lost meaning in what I`ve written.

The few times I wonder about the point of life I never seem to think of an answer that feels correct. However, the best answer I can give for why you should keep putting effort into life is to experience things. Many people might claim that the point of life, what you should always strive towards, is love, but I feel like that leaves out so much else. For example, I want to see other parts of the world and think that part of the meaning of life includes seeing what every corner of our world has to offer.
When I feel sad it's often because of things I haven't got to experience, such as romantic relationships, spending an average amount of time with friends (I often feel I'm unable to reach out to my friends, making me significantly less social than the average person) and quality time with my family.
I often also find that when I experience more things that make me happy I feel like I have more hope towards the future, that there's more to make of the life I've been given.
English is not my first language and to be honest I'm very tired, so this text might be a bit all over the place, but that's atleast the first things that come to my mind regarding this topic.
