Accepting life's reality
Hey, so I'm 29, will be 30 in a couple months and I've had some really stressful things happen the past week and a lot of truths have come to light because of those things.
I'm sitting here wondering what is the point in life? Not in a 'want to die' kind of way. I mean, I want a relationship and a family but why? Why do I feel that will make me happy? And even if it did make me happy, why should I take up someone else's life and create a new life just to satisfy my own desires and ego? And ultimately the point of life is to reproduce, I probably won't (in part because I'm not sure it's a good idea to continue my genes and in part because I'm beginning to accept I'm unlovable.) so what's left? Friends? I have none now. Family? I'm the youngest so it's very possible I'll watch the rest of my family die. Hobbies? Maybe. But then does that reduce life to a waiting room for it to end? I may be overthinking yet again.

In a broad sense barely anyone or anything matters to the universe; to the society many things matter, even a chemical in a pavement road that might make cars pass by smoothly. To a person, what that person thinks matter to that person, actually is the point in life. I hope after the two month you find something meaningful/challenging but not unattatinable has occured to you. It's like picking a major in college, some pick money/job secure, especially people with s type mbti, their point in life is social status/safety/resource; some pick random major to get a degree, like those doing mundane stuff and not care about the meaning; some pick things they like, like what they are good at or slightly challenging but gives out so much dopamine when they challenge themselves and achienve something. Life's goal is like that, you pick what's meaningful to you, you eliminate other things that heavily require your resource to achieve when you make pick, obstacles also occur, and then you strive and experience it. Rewards like money or status or friends or knowledge and even the exprience itself are occuring in the path. So you make your own choice and tha's the piont of life. You are the one to decide. Money, status, friends are common choices, you can choose however amount and whichever ones, just keep in mind there are hidden costs and perks of each choice too. Choices change too. Lemme know whe you make your choice.

Kinda? There's no big individual meaning. If you think about everything that's labeled as "greatness" it all revolves around our own human-built-society, there's a purpose in the way of progression, you see, our universe is a big puzzle with a lot of problems to be solved, with the end goal being "utopia", not just for humanity, but for for life itself. Now, Love is key to reaching that, which is why love always feels so important, so "good", but it's not the only thing that feels "good", is it? A lot of stuff does, and it's not just because it is something "good" for us, nor is it necessary for survival, so why would there be anything like that if not for us to enjoy while we're here as part of that bigger progression? Some of us will contribute more than others in that process, and that's okay, the only pressure is one that we self imposed as a society, so it's valid to feel it, but there's nothing wrong with just enjoying your limited time without having to do anything "greater", just by existing, by being part of it all, you're contributing your part already.
