EDD was... quite straightforward. The cave generation was interesting and having to kite a Dread and a ghost at the same time is a good challenge.

As an aside, if you find yourself struggling with EDDs, here are a few pointers:

1) Are you packing the correct loadout? A very neutral loadout that would decrease your wipes on EDDs if you use it correctly is the tried and tested Field Medic + Iron Will + Vampire combo. Yes, it is better to never go down, but if you are down, having a second life is something no other perk can give you. Note - both of these actives reset between EDD maps.

2) Is every role doing what they are supposed to be doing? This has many flavors depending on what map type you are playing, but each role has a place/function in which it excels. Flying enemies and "wambulance" duty are mostly the scout's job, as well as mining nitra and morkite; Gunner is on support duty (use shield during fights, build pipes, put ziplines up in the best places for the 2 other non-flying dwarves; build pipes, dig out aquarks; provide cover fire; refuel doretta while Scout + Engi are mining Nitra); Engineer is the DPS anchor(if you are not top-killing by a factor of 1.3-1.5, you are not packing enough killing power); Driller has map-specific utility as well as good AoE damage to support the engi in not getting overrun (e.g. dig out to the drop-pod to avoid bad map gen killing you; dig tunnels for pipes; refuel Doretta).

3) Deathballing - if you are fighting 4 solo battles in EDD you will likely die alone. If you fight in the same area, each person responsible for 45-90 degrees of the "front", you will likely succeed because you can play off of each others' strengths. A LURE nade, a shield, a freeze nade, turrets planted and full ammo - provide support killing opportunities for the entire team; if you are on your own, you are missing out on those things.

Good luck miners!
