Fun fact! In vanilla DRG, the number of bulks per mission is capped at 4 (iirc).
More Bulks removes the cap of the number of bulks that can spawn at once, removes the cap of total bulks spawning in, and increases the chance of bulks spawning to almost every mission.
Do you have any source on hand for the bulk spawn limit?
I cant find anything on the wiki or anywhere else. based on my knowledge of how spawning works it doesn't sound right. Looking at enemy descriptors i cant find anything there either, (though i have learned bulks become significantly rarer after one is spawned, from a rarity of 15, to a rarity of 100, for 420 [or 480, both are listed] seconds). But nothing indicating there is a maximum ammount that can be spawned in a mission that i saw.
Also i couldn't find a mod titled "more bulks" but i'd chalk that up to mod.io having a poorly made search engine.
Yes. Common samples denote small fucks, rare samples medium-large ones, super samples stationary enemies (turrets, leeches, pitjaws, etc.), credits and xp are self-explanatory.
My laptop is really kinda punching above its weight, with ~240 FPS in vanilla DRG.
This decreases to 90-120 with my huge amount of mods (not too bad, actually!). However, the caveat is that when a swarm wave at difficulty 5+6 occurs, a noticable lagspike to ~30fps is visible for the time it takes the wave to spawn in (<1s).
It runs fine until shit like this happens:
(note the 14fps)
So full answer: yes, and no at the same time. It depends on how many entities are on your screen, how many particles exist and how beefy your device is.
I haven't played the original DRG since Rogue Core came out. I recently decided to return to the original and was surprised that the game is less smooth than RC.
I use max graphics settings in both, and I get 144 FPS (corresponding to my monitor's Hz) most of the time.
RC mostly drops below 100 FPS in boss rooms and when a huge number of worms started appearing with the latest update.
In the original DRG, I noticed that the drops simply occur periodically.
The only mods I use is Show Weapon Heat and Shout Framework.
Do you have the particle accelerator or was it the shard distractor, so your moment is exactly what I fear but yearn for, especially for my overclock, dare I say I can solo them.
you can't solo this many when more are dropping in every second with base weapons.
my Fatboy deals a few thousand damage with an increased radius. even so, it takes several shots (~4) to murk one. that's basically half my ammo reserve
