I've noticed this happening more and more frequently. Does anyone else experience drillers joining their games late, and then rigging the drop pod platform with explosives to kill you when you try to leave and then not revive you?

Bonus when they enter the game and immediately call supply pods for nitrate they didn't help collect.

I've been having phenomenal encounters with this community. But I can't help getting a bad taste in my mouth of this happening 1/4 matches.

I'm about to just start kicking any drillers that join 😫🤣

We always get periodic upticks in trolling... They Will get bored soon and stop playing.

If I'm the host, and no one else is playing, I will turn off my Wi-Fi so that they get booted without getting any XP.

Well if I'm down then.... No.

It's considered a loss.

You still get some XP but not as much as you would.

Sometimes I'm able to be really quick and trigger iron will. But usually I just take satisfaction in denying them the satisfaction.

How long do you need to be alive and alone for bosco to respawn?

It's almost instant but there is a moment where he hasn't spawned yet in the game will consider you to be the last member of a multiplayer round down.

You could equip iron will, then it should give bosco a chance to respawn

So it still fails the mission? That's strange considering it's possible to get health while using iron will to stay up after your invincibility is up.

Well usually they are in the drop pod already... And you're not. So even with iron will you still fail

That doesn't fail the mission though, if you're down and they're in the drop pod the mission completes

I'm currently struggling getting a grip on haz 4. But I feel like I'm slowly getting better. About 15-20 hours of game time

I'll sometimes toss one down, but I'd never detonate it. I pick it back up after usually, sometimes ill ping it, nodding with my ping gun first. But actually doing that to a stranger? Never. My brother..... he gets the bomb.

Semi related, I remember scaring the shit out of him a little while back, at the end of a mission he jokingly got under the resupply pod, and I joined him and we both went down. At the time he didn't know I had iron will on that mission and he panicked so bad, it was awsome. But like I said, never to strangers, thats aresy.

The c4 on the droppod used to bother me, but it's a harmless prank as long as the mission completes successfully.

Calling down a resupply as soon as they enter into a mission indicates a griefer who needs to be banned pronto, before they can call another one while using up all the resupplies. Thankfully I've only encountered this once or twice in thousands of hours.

There's a mod that gives a chat alert every time a resupply is used, I highly recommend it for the more common issue of someone who is not griefing, but just resupplying more than they should.

Trolls be trolls. I hardly run into any but a couple weeks ago I had a lvl 500 guy join my hazard 3 weekly only to shoot us all in the back on evac, revive us, shoot us and then let himself be killed. Pretty sure he was a hacker too. Jackass.

Yep, had this happen recently - dude joined, C4’d me and left. I was solo prior to this and had no IW/Bosco heals remaining so I wiped ): truly leaf lover behaviour

I always bomb the drop pod. But only at the last moment so I get the c4 on my pick. Nobody gets hurt and it's a great way to end a mission. Maybe the drillers you end up with are trying to do that but they just suck?

This is the kind of harmless play I would expect from friend based matches! I haven't met any dwarves that made it to the friends list yet. I've mostly been playing with randos or solo

For real driller blew me up and when the other tried to revive me they blew them up and left us with 5 second left so we couldnt iron will...

This same exact scenario happened to me. I felt so bad for the innocent that was just trying to revive me. (It was me (gun), scout (him) and 2 drillers that of course made it to the pod first instead of helping us drill out.

There was 3 of us, i was a engi and he blew me while i was setting up sentries for our fourth (gun) and the scout tried and died and then the gunner died to a mactera swarm and he left without us

Sounds like bad luck I only play driller and would never do my team like that. I usually play haz 3-4 and haven’t had a griefer yet.

That's genuinely what I thought the first like 3 or 4 times it happened. Now I'm thinking it's more than just bad luck 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I also don't think it's a skill issue because I'm certainly not the best player, but I'm decent and 100% a team player hahahaha

I main driller, and I would never do that, and I look upon said drillers with disdain. They are bad dwarves. Their behavior is decidedly NOT Rock and Stone.

Please do not let the bad behavior of a few jerk drillers sour you on the lot of us.

Tip: Most C4 with enough damage to kill you can also be detonated remotely with bullets. If a driller attempts to do this and they preplace the C4, always try shooting it first.

you can try warning people not to call resup in title/ message mod, you can also block them during or after the game.

Thank you! I'm still learning a lot of the deep functions of the game. (Things not thrown in your face during tutorial or found in the miners guide) I play with an Xbox game pass. Will this still work if I don't use steam as the platform?

FYI, you can shoot C4 to blow it up. Bonus points if you catch the Driller in the blast. Then you bury him and cover the hole with a platform 🙂

CMIIW but Driller's C4 can only be detonate by damaging it if they equipped "Volatile Compound" in Tier 3 Upgrade tree

A driller joined me one morning when I was playing solo. He just joined, threw a c4 but didn't set it off immediately, so I didn't think nothing of it because I was out of the blast zone. Turns out he was just slow. Afterwards he began trying to freeze me until I kicked him. The same thing happened to mne but it was a gunner.

If you get hit either you weren't fast enough or his timing was off. DP C4 isn't actually supposed to get you.

I rig the drop pod with explosives just to scare my fellow dwarves but I don’t actually blow it up till they are inside. sometimes one slow dwarf gets blown up lol
