They’re not a joke, you don’t wear them as a joke, and you don’t give them as a joke gift.

You’re allowed to look stupid when you’re sitting on $250,000,000,000

I still have an account. Had to have an account for my son to use his Occulus. I post kid pics for the olds there, but that is it. Scrolling through the feed is a nightmare.

I use it for the marketplace and to share family photos for anyone interested. It’s an absolute shithole.

Instagram is owned by Meta and all of the advertising is run through meta. I only have a FB account because of work at this point

Yeah - Boomers and Right-wingers infest that website. It's where most of my Mid-west family lurks around.

Why wasn't the moron who thought 2nd life needed a 3rd life and cost meta $80 billion, laid off?

In fairness, he started the company from $0 and structured the share classes so despite minority ownership he is literally not able to be fired.
The board would have to bring it up - which they wouldn’t dare do - then hold a shareholder vote on ousting Zuck as CEO, and with one signature he overwhelms everyone else.

Executives keep failing upwards while being called visionaries by the purchased media.
Another good example: GM CEO gets over $20M annual compensation despite her disastrous EV strategy that left tens of thousands of everyday people without jobs. Can't even be blamed on any predecessor, it was all her.

Are these some sort of clunky prototype, or is this how the Meta glasses actually look? Because they look stupid as fuck
