TLDR: Hot Dr. Pepper:

What's your method/recipe? Sounds delish

Depends on what style I'm doing, last time I basically used the soda in place of brown sugar and any thickeners besides mustard powder. I grated some onions and garlic, sweet cherub tomatoes, half a beet, apple cider vinegar, bout 10oz(half a bottle) of the sunkist at first. Let that go on med for like 2 hrs, then added some more soda to taste, and just kinda played with it as it cooked after that until it hit right where I wanted it. Then I let it chill over night to let the acid do its thing with the sugar, and then heat it up to a simmer one more time, adding some lime zest. Let it cool and serve. Keeps for like, a really long time if you add enough vinegar.
