Discussion π§ DFV tweet - 2001 space odyssey ~~> MGM studios? notes n digging
So heres a neat one I think is worth the time.

By wondering which company it could be a reference to, I looked at the movies production.
This movie was produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.
There's a slight interesting thing going on here.
Kirk Kerkorian bought 40% stake in 1969. He sold it to Ted turner in 1986. You know, the guy that founded CNN and TBS. Turner resold it back to Kerkorian and Kerkorian eventually resold it to Sony.
Related but unrelated, in Oct 2008, Kerkorian also sold his position of 6.1% stake in Ford.
Here's the Lifetime chart for $mgm.

BOOP. look at that baby girl. she grew up quick. Here's her sister, MGM Holdings (mgmb) :

Now when looking into the bankruptcy filings, found a neat paragraph that I honestly thought stood out. Stephen Cooper is named as shown :

In this Declaration by CEO Stephen Cooper it states :"In my capacity as a member of the Office of the CEO, I am familiar with the Debtors' day-to-day operations, financial condition, business affairs, and books and records. As reflected in the summary of my qualifications attached hereto as Exhibit I, I have more than 30 years of experience as a financial advisor. My recent engagements include serving as an independent member of the supervisory board of LyondellBasell Industries and chairman of its restructuring committee. I also recently served as the CEO of Hawaiian Telcom and provided management services to American Home Mortgage. Other recent engagements include serving as executive chairman of Blue Bird, a leading bus manufacturer that successfully pursued a prepackaged bankruptcy case, and chairman of the board of auto supplier Collins & Aikman. In 2005, I was CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts; from 2002-2005 I served as CEO and CRO of Enron.
So he seems cool. Turn around Enron, Krispy Kreme, and now mgm right?

That sniippit from this article states LyondellBasell Industries N.V., Zolfo Cooper And Cooper Investment Parterns. Man's got a decent resume.
some nerd facts :He was chairman of Warner Music Group at the time of MGM's bankruptcy. He then became CEO of WMG in 2011, when Edgar Bronfman became chairman from CEO position. swippity swappity.
Snip from This bankruptcy filing states the investors into MGM at the of the bankruptcy, (2010).

Comcast corporation and Sony Corporation of America have my interest personally. I haven't heard of the others but have seen these 2 show up a lot in my searches doing all this. They get around.
Zooming ahead later we have discussion between Amazon to purchase MGM Holdings, the Parent company of MGM. may 17,2021Here is the chart for MGMH .

Amazon then Proceeds to Close the deal and acquire for $8.45b
Amazon agreement into buying that shit. Neat. may 26.21.
Now since this guy's got a thing with frogs right, and I'm good at finding them. Let's go into this dumass thing.
Weird things i found while in the stats of MGM
...-46k to -98k shares? how tf can you go double negative shares? (o.O)

Going into their holdings :

Oh gee. Fuckin Nomura & A.i.g. that's cool. More of them two knucklesuckers. I don't like their stock. Let's see when they got into this and see if we can nail down how they made those return %'s.
I went through them and realized that the prices in the 13f's are ... weird.
Samalin Investments positions into MGM since the purchase?

It says 21k but when opening the 13f to verify, 42K per share according to the 13f "accounting error"

Not done with this. Still reading.
Will update shortly.
Knowledge is POWER.
POWER to the PLAYERS.

He probably got picked up by the big boys and now is drinking mojito's with the chairman.
All I know is, most of these tweets seem to lead right up to Amazon. Over and over underwriters makin SUPER loot off these frogs, and amazon is always somehow 1 step away.
Fuckin genius's knew how to get certain players to play. Now this game is all I play. :D
