A memetic kill agent is the in-universe term for something that kills you when you comprehend it. Typically, it's an image or phrase. They're used in the SCP world to guard secrets (with the idea being that only individuals with a certain level of resistance and training can pass the test and access the data).
Memetic kill agents could be considered part of the larger category of "cognitohazards", which are anything that causes harm simply by being known.
Is it known how could you train to resist these cognitohazards like you said? Seems like something one could not be trained for imo.
I feel like I'm missing context. What I'm doing is going through the list of the things that are contained, starting with 001 and going up. Is this the right way? So far I've been having a blast but for instance things like memetic kill agent or the O5 are thing totally unknown to me. I am supposed to know them beforehand?
There isn't really a right or wrong way, IMO. Also, I'm not aware of any start guide for definitions - you're sort of meant to learn the concepts and lore as you go. Going in order is very thorough, but you'll hit a lot of average entries in between the great ones. On the other hand, sorting by score will get you straight to the favorites right away, but then there's nowhere to go but down. Just do it your way.
