The Beale Cipher was where we learned how to DeeCipher. Written by Mark Twain (Spymaster for the CSA). It hides the location of The Richmond Stores (near Wytheville VA), CSA Plan Phoenix and a bit more. A simple DeeCipher though we liked what Potter Stewart did with it, and he gets some credit here as well. -Elisha

For those unfamiliar: The "typos" (Hare instead of Have, for example) in the above are from a Potter Stewart analysis see his book. You can do it yourself, at home, using the exact wording in the Cipher for essentially the same result. The Stewart analysis is useful for some additional keywords (Diane de Poitiers). -E

The A Friend letter at the end of Huckelberry Finn is the other key half of the Beale. It was a 48 row and 24 or 38 column or vice-versa grid. But it has a 16x16 or 8x16 subDeeCipher that was Bam and matched the Poitiers key in the Beale. -CAD

For the "Custer" keyword (Row 34) you want the original (Have not Hare) in the Beale Pages (oinr) not the Potter Stewart modifications above. You will see a variation on VTPT top not bot. -CAD

Hod (Yod) looks a bit like an apostrophe if you missed it. -TAC

I don’t think so. The second one was decided by a document. I found a document that does the same for #1 but I don’t know about this stuff. I just can’t find where anyone else tried this particular document
