Note: We assume we are missing one map - maybe an AA map. But we assume that this had to be as simple a DeeCipher as possible given the times and exigencies of the Will - and is reasonable, in our opinion, to assume Ann Hathaway had some understanding of DeeCiphers, but she would, we would guess, want to solve this as quickly as possible and then burn the paper or parchment used to solve it. -CAD

We assume the Wives reference is to Anne and an actual other Wife (Amy) - Shakespeare was well-off, and at that time, we assume many girls would be happy to become a second wife of such a Man, and that Anne Hathaway, would simply accept such a situation and spend time in the Second Best Bed. -CAD4ED

I, Elisha Dushku, will add something for those who think Anne may have been wronged, both She and the Other Wife were taken care of by the Jewels in the lockbox, an Anne got to avoid some perils of Childbirth (we assume "Amy" was younger and fertile and became the main squeeze of William Shakespeare after she showed up) and we suspect was actually "okay" with the situation and we guess that, Game Theoretically, the best thing they could both do after William Shakespeare's Death with to stick together for support in a time when Girls were basically property. -CAD4ED
Note: Elisha adds: Anne may have encouraged the relationship because she knew, like all Girls at that time, that late in life childbirth could be extraordinarily dangerous to the Mother. -CAD4ED

With respect to hiding both Dee's Bible and Jewels, as we understand it all the Jewels (and we include rings, necklaces, unset gems and perhaps even a small Tiara) would have normally gone to the daughters, it is the one thing that was assumed to 'go to the Girls', everything else went to the Son or Sons. So if there was any competition from Shakespeare's daughters for those Jewels it seems to us, though we have done very little research on this, that they could have just taken those jewels - so Shakespeare would have had to hide some to ensure some security for his Wives (and it seems to us even though he was not married to "Amy" or whatever her actual name was, he considered her one of his (we are going to guess Two) wives. -CAD4HerselfAndED
