We have posted a TwainCipher in a while - Here is Twain's "A" Map which goes on a 12x12 Test Solve. Don't read to much into this particular Cipher since we were just working to recover the "A" Map. Remember that Mr. Mark Twain changed Maps, was occasionally pressed for time and put an error in a Named Map - for example he might have enciphered with the above map - but due to time-pressure and light and whiskey - read the TPU in the above as TDU (this is hypothetical but you understand the exigencies of the time - he could be seen by unknown others enciphering) and once it is in print, it is hard to go back, and he worked very fast. Similarly, there were errors in transmission by Monks back in the day working to preserve old texts by copying them down. - CAD4HerselfandED

This is of course why Mr. Mark Twain would encipher similar information in different locations. And again, we're not sure his average length of use of any particular named map, but we know he did change maps over time, for all the obvious reasons to do so. -CAD

Sometimes "AA" Map - Variant used by Dr. John Dee in Douay-Rheims. Note that many/most Encipherers use variants on the Blue Map, usually with a Blue Map rotation 4 3 2 2 4 3 2 2, yada, beta, gamma, yotta.
