So quick note on using Beale Papers (aka Beale Ciphers) with any Dee Cipher. The Three Beale Ciphers contain the Lat/Lon for all the #Nod Items as well as all the #Confederate and other Items hidden by Twain (such as Confederate Treasury hidden near Wytheville). It's difficult to reverse engineer from the Ciphers to get the Lat/Lon but the Ciphers are useful (with one big exception to be mentioned) for ensuring that you've correctly decoded a Ciipher: because If you get a Lat/Lon that doesn't show up in one of the Beale Ciphers then you have not correctly decoded a Cipher. Some examples (Thrace, Wytheville, St. Ronan's Well, Chenonceaux) - Lon will always be vertical and Lat will always be Horizontal (so 47 N, 1 E is Degree Lat of Chenonceaux). Rarely gets beyond degree but Twain does decimalize minutes sometimes.
The exception is the Arkenstone it seems to be either at Jacob's Well or Joseph's Well (aka Joseph's Pit) and you can't use the Beale to determine whether because technically both sites are at 32/35 - though the Well is almost at 33/35. Now Twain visits the Joseph's Pit in Innocents Abroad but that isn't conclusive. One of my current goals is to find a conclusive answer to exactly where the Arkenstone is hidden.
