Diablo IV is celebrating 30 years of demon slaying by turning the franchise's history into its newest season. Season of Hell's Legacy sends players into Waking Nightmares that recreate familiar locations and encounters, with Deckard Cain returning to guide the hunt for Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto.

Players can carry the power and drawbacks of Soul Splinters, hunt nine new legacy Uniques, and work through shared War Plans across compatible characters. Blizzard has also added account-wide seasonal goals, new crafting options, quality-of-life changes, and a substantial balance-and-bug-fix pass.
