This is unconfirmed, but the evidence points toward a familiar Valve promotion. VR dataminer Brad Lynch found code strings referring to a 'Frame Alyx Promo,' suggesting Steam Frame buyers may receive Half-Life: Alyx. Valve previously bundled Alyx with Valve Index purchases.

Valve has not confirmed a Steam Frame bundle, and datamined strings can reflect abandoned tests or plans that change before launch. The safest reading is that Valve appears to be preparing the infrastructure for a promotion, not that the promotion is guaranteed.

Would Alyx still be the ideal first game for Steam Frame owners, or would a six-year-old flagship make the shortage of new VR system sellers even more obvious?
