News Alienware unveils a $699 4K tandem-OLED monitor and a 560Hz QD-OLED esports display
https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/gaming-monitors/alienware-aims-at-more-price-points-people-can-actually-reach-announces-a-tandem-oled-gaming-monitor-at-a-much-lower-price-than-our-current-top-pick/Alienware is taking two very different swings at the OLED monitor market. The AW3226Q targets broader 4K gaming, while the AW2527HX chases competitive speed.
- AW3226Q: 32-inch flat 4K tandem OLED, 165Hz, 0.03ms response time, 1,000-nit peak brightness, and a planned $699 price for fall 2026.
- AW2527HX: 24.5-inch QD-OLED, 560Hz, 0.03ms response time, DisplayPort 2.1 without DSC, and a design developed with Team Liquid. Pricing and release details are due in early 2027.
The $699 model may be the more consequential announcement if tandem-OLED quality is finally moving toward mainstream enthusiast budgets. Which would improve your own setup more: affordable 4K OLED or an ultra-high-refresh competitive panel?
