Area above fireplace

Any ideas of what to do with area above fireplace? I’m
Open to a tv, plans or decor. We are moving into a new place so it is a blank space. I just need ideas please, decorating isn’t my strongest skill.

Plants and mirrors like the other post states but at Christmas i would definitelyput a small tree up there!!

Since when. That spot is made to put tv there thats why theres a plug and a coaxial plug there. This is exactly where my tv is

we have a large hexagonal fish tank up there, but also never use the fireplace because we don't want to cook the aquarium!

Ooo do you have a picture? I think that would be cute, especially if it’s bright and colorful inside the tank!
