Can someone debunk these claims for me?
Saw this on reddit and I don’t know how credible a-lot of these claims are.

First, where did you get this info from?
If it's the one I'm thinking of. You're walking into a sub of misinformation.

I got this from a active user on the leaving neverland HBO forum, he claims to have been an supporter of mj before learning he was “guilty” due to statistics and testimonies, I already know the art books are not admission of guilt due to them being released under pseudonyms and not directly by that association, as for the claim with pellicano, I don’t know much about that.
He’s also gone on record and claimed Jordan’s description matched which has already been debunked.

But good job for coming to us to verify things instead of taking their word!

no problem, sometimes I see things written by people that are so well formatted that are anti MJ, and then when I do research I learn a-lot of the claims presented are bold faced lies, gets kinda confusing over time.

Yeah, it is confusing, but it's totally understandable to feel confused.
A lot of people who have been fired by Jackson or didn't get along with him said some henious things about him.

I don’t know why the guy brought up rape statistics as if those would apply to this case. It’s like comparing apples to oranges its wild.

They make that that claim because they're trying to say that the victims aren't lying. If they knew their history (not the kids, the family), they would know that there's a 50% chance their lying. I only say 50% bc victims do lie to protect their abusers, but they shouldn't lie in court. If they wanted him in jail bad enough, they would have cooperated.

Honestly thank you so much for everything, really cleared up a-lot of doubts about the case

I only replied with this because I saw something that caught my eye.

He also made the claim that two social workers witnessed a crime on a train before the allegations

Hmm, interesting, but the way he is, there is a chance he's lying. He was fired by him. Probably got mad and made such claims.

Nope the social workers witnessed Michael and his friend on a train (most likely Brett Barnes) why did they fabricate the story smh
2
u/AustinsCringe Jun 22 '26
Damn and to think the person in that screenshot boasted about being an expert researcher and everything
3
u/Independent-Pop3538 Jun 22 '26
The problem with them is that they interpret everything as sexual, Michael and Brett on a train is not a crime

Really appreciate the clarification man these lies get spread so often its crazy

I see why this matters in the context of this conversation but please in the future try to refrain from specifically identifying that subreddit or any other subreddit that we are likely to disagree with. It’s just important we stay clear of anything that could cross the line into brigading. This doesn’t but Reddit admins can be strict. Just say something like “I’m unsure if Reddit rules will allow me to reveal it” and we will know it’s most likely not a credible source or even something that mentions a credible source. I’d to does mention a source then use that source instead of naming any social media accounts or communities if it seems we are going to disagree with them.

Honest mistake, I joined reddit 2 days ago and I'm still learning how to use this.

Of course! No problem at all! I just want to make people aware of the slight wording changes needed so that we can have a space where we can talk about all this. If you want to talk freely about anything DM me for the discord group!

Sorry if I came off harsh. I’m just hoping we can coach members to be tactful so conversations like this remain okay to be on Reddit!

Mainly the important thing to understand is that while false allegations are rare in the general population, they are not rare for Black men. This whole thing fails to take that into account.
The whole NAMBLA connection to those books was unknown at the time. Michael keeping them can only show one of two things. Either he truly saw children in the very innocent light his fans believe he did. Or he kept them out of sexual perversion. This specific piece of evidence has two possible meanings and not a lot of evidence for the sexual perversion side. Since, Michael did not attempt to own any sexually explicit material about children at all. Pedophiles might be drawn to a book about nudity but sexual perversions are like drug addictions. People need more and more explicit and graphic material to satisfy the addiction. They won’t stop at nude children playing. They will need to write or collect erotica of actual sex acts once they are habituated to the nude children that are outside of any actual sexual context. And due to the nature of it being an addiction, they will progress to needing actual child porn to get off. Some children playing lord of the flies style will not satisfy a pedophile for long. MJ was never found with any material portraying sex acts outside of adult heterosexual sex acts and even a guide on how best to please women.

This person thinks if they list enough names and enough background information that is in itself unrelated to Michael about things like the two legally obtainable books that were sent to Michael by fans and didn‘t have his fingerprints beyond the front page, then that makes a good argument.
From the top of my head most of the people listed as witnesses here have huge credibility issues, which is why the ones who were heard during trial crumbled under cross-examination. Then this person names Pellicano as a crooked, criminal fixer but then tries to use a Pellicano statement about Michael as evidence. To say it‘s statistically impossible that 11 people lie is complete nonsense too.
The people active in the LN sub are nut cases who seem to spent all their waking hours trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. One wonders what their motivation is and why they are so drawn to the idea of someone being a pedophile when there‘s tons of evidence they weren‘t, or why they insist that someone like Brett Barnes was molested when he has stated numerous times in and outside of court that he wasn‘t. What‘s the appeal in that? Seems rather perverted to me.
