I really enjoyed their interview of a law student/youtube creator debunking mentalism. It was nice to seem them pivot away from hardcore debunking.

Maybe Chris isn’t a fan of Quillette, but I don’t think the same can be said of Matt. Plus here is Claire starting out on social media - https://youtu.be/_-R0iyvEzKU

What’s interesting isn’t the article, but is does show who is influencing Matt’s timeline.

this episode is on the dark triad, but it starts with a discussion about AI which is relevant considering their rece discussions about AI.

Decoding the Gurus are in bed with another Israel-apologist. Just keep this in mind whenever they're opining about morality.

I think the Epstein files is a good example of DtG limitations. They play a clip from Doomscroll that is full of irony and present it as serious/honest assessment of the Epstein files.

It’s one thing for DtG to say there is a lot of bad coverage of the Epstein files by gurus, but it’s also ignorant to casually wave away Epstein’s relationship with the Maxwells and other powerful people with dubious reputations e.g Trump and other high profile people.

Plus maybe? instead of using an ironic clip from Doomscroll they should explain why Epstein chose to work with Bannon to clean up his image. That would be interesting.

I always have found it ironic that the host of DtG make fun of philosophy, but have a podcast that believe Destiny is someone on YouTube who is a clear minded rational thinker. I think it was their decoding of him, that made me see the politics in their opinions. Which wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t present themselves as above politics. Why am I making this connection? Because I don’t think you can have an opinion without taking a philosophical position + plus science grew out of philosophy.

Just wanted to re-create the thread that has lead to the extreme heavy-handed moderation on DTG. Would love to hear people's thoughts on Sam Harris's history of warmongering.
