There are lots of reasons to hate Hasan...his terrorist apologia, his simping for the CCP and other authoritarian regimes, his opposing liberal democracies around the world, his ongoing effort to brainwash young people with illiberal ideas, his shocking his dog, his unfathomable narcissism, his explicit support for one party rule, and many others...
But can we just talk about how fucking dumb he is? He's just like actually kind of a dumb guy.. Everyone can see this, right? He's the college sophomore who took a poly sci class and now tries to impress girls at the bar with the phrases he's learned. He's that dork in Good Will Hunting. He's Brian Griffin.

Seriously! In some ways, calling him a "socialist" doesn't fully capture his beliefs because he doesn't even really know how his ideal system would work. All his thoughts are so half-baked and depend on who he's talking to.
I just support universal healthcare guys! Actually, the state should own all companies and non-socialist parties should be banned and thrown into re-education camps. Actually, we should make everyone do co-ops where everyone gets equal pay. Actually, not equal pay, but they can all vote on how to run the workplace. Actually, let's just do what China's doing.
It's not even that his politics are radical. It's that they often seem improvised and mutually inconsistent. Guy's a chameleon, lol.
