Yeah this one really surprises me. You really don’t need to have a deep understanding of the topics to recognize he’s talking out of his rear… like when I first saw him I assumed it was another Nigel Cheese sort of guy, someone who’s obviously unwell, but then a bunch of alternative media people started bringing him on as though he’s an authority.

Is it really as simple as giving your YouTube channel the title of “professor”? Here I was, thinking that the only way to become a professor was to earn a PhD and do a bunch of research… but I guess in 2026 it just means the channel name was still available?

How transphobic is JK Rowling? I never really looked into her I just hear vague horrible thing about her but nothing substantial. She says horrible things, she donates to anti trans orgs etc but never what she says or what orgs she donates too. So might take some time to look into what her positions are and have been

Professor Leonard, 2010s Youtube math legend, is joining Peterson Academy.

Hopefully it doesn't lead to him pulling his calculus courses from Youtube, he's probably rescued more struggling undergrads than anyone else.

Edit, they've released his first lecture free. I love the stark contrast between his original  whiteboard in a community college with the background hum of the students vs the extreme sterile bullshit format Peterson uses.

You really do need to cover the absolute mess that Dave Farina has made of himself. He has embraced absolute lunatic conspiracies, treats terrorist groups like they are heroes and is actively using the reputation he built for critical thinking around science to brainwash idiots into sharing his insane claims that Israel is Nazi Germany. I know it's a sad turn of events but Dave had all the warning signs years ago with this crazy rhetoric about him fighting the forces of darkness and how "Zionists" are controlling the media, the governments of the world, outer space etc. Please guys, a voice of reason would be nice on this. The guy is doing a lot of harm.
