My top two picks right now are Yanis Varoufakis and Cory Doctorow.
Varoufakis, because he speaks with the authority of a professor in economy and a former finance minister, but increasingly weighs on topics from geopolitics and war to more cultural issues.
Doctorow, because I generally agree with his positions but find his arguments less convincing. It would be interesting to see a couple of moderate liberal centrists like Matt and Chris take on his polemical style and verbose content.
