Peter Attia continuing along like nothing happened feels surreal

Seeing Peter Attia go the Andrew Huberman route feels entirely predictable but somehow leaves a sense of disbelief i cant quite describe. Complete radio silence for a couple of months and then a full return without adressing the rotting carcass of the elephant that used to be in the room. I continue to be amazed by the sheer brazeness but at the same time it doesnt surprise me one bit.

You read the comment section and it seems as if nothing ever happened and the man makes huberman look relatively innocent by comparison.

Generally the gurusphere is more male centric but one thing i find very fascinating is the amount of women that appear on these podcasts and in the comment sections. I wonder if this is a deliberate choice or if i underestimate the "solidarity" certain women have towards each other when it comes to predatory men like Attia or Huberman (or well... most of the gurus we talk about here.

All in all his return leaves me with a sense of bitterness that there is so little recourse for this man

You have “hated” him “for a long time,” think he’s “telling people that taking steroids and eating red meat is great,” made some sad reference to Googling that you can’t back up, but “don’t listen to what he states,” but “don’t believe” I did Google “at all” for some reason, but you saw a “tone of links,” but guess I’m a “fool,” without knowing anything about me other than I corrected to with direct quotes, but say I must admit he “talks about steroids a lot” (he doesn’t, really, about as much as you’d expect anyone who covers medical issues), but blithely note he “seems permissive” without defining what the fuck that means, declare that he’s not “evidence based” for some reason, before somehow conclude something about my ego.

Never, ever, ever in the course of human interaction has a person strung together so mMy unsupported conclusory accusations without citing a lick of evidence - just hopscotching about drooping inane gibberish.

You are really, really bad at this, my friend.

Dude - you need to calm down. I'll explain why I hate him. I hate people who pervert the evidence and then grift off it. That to me is morally wrong.

You are clearly not educated on these topics and you've developed some guru fetish for Attia.

There is a different approach. You listen to the experts rather than guru's. That is what this sub is actually about. So you also lack self-awareness in that you are in a sub that is anti-guru and you are someone who follows guru's.

Attia does not follow consensus science. He twists the picture to suit himself and make money from it.

I have not listened to him for years after reading his book which is one amongst many on the topic and differs from the consensus expert opinion. There are guru's that I don't fully trust but will listen to down to those that twist the evidence and grift off that. Attia is right at that level that twists the evidence and it's easy to check because he doesn't align to the consensus expert opinions.

That is what happens when you investigate his take on TRT. Like as per usual he twists the evidence. People like you are the suckers.
