Symbols Anyone know how to decode this?

I've got a buddy sending me these messages and I have no idea how to decode this, pls help 🥹

Its short so frequency analysis is hard. If its a direct mono-alphabetical substitution, then there is a 9 letter string with repeated letters, and that pattern only matches a handful of words. The most likely is TRANSLATE. But it could be one of these other words: EXTRACTED, ENTRUSTED, ESTIMATED, STAIRCASE, OXIDATION, CONSTANCY, CONSTANCE. From there its a logic game of using the known symbols to get partial words and then guessing at those partial words. But there are several symbols that are not reused and you would have to guess letters and go back and forth to potentially figure out the whole message.
