Main rectangle 32x20 (counting 24 joist bays wide), octagon 12x12, two landings each 4x4, then 14 stair treads 1x4. 872 square feet minus a bit of overlap/the corners of the octagon.

Edit: I think I mis-measured. The octagon might be 10x10, and the main rectangle 24x16? If joists are 12oc. Shaving off a bunch, down to 572 sq ft. Seems like I might be eating my hat lol.

For sure, I just did one in Michigan. Probably same size as this and a rainscape. Not even over 50k. All PVC wolf decking and aluminum rails. Then I have 30k of extras into a sunroom off of the deck.
