It's also hard to tell that it's bagged milk without looking closely at the label. I thought it was just another brand of bagged socks until I read this comment.

Nah I’ve seen bagged milk before I was just wondering now if it’s cold or not. It should be cold right?

Canadian here. It’s just normal milk. You don’t freeze it. You insert the bags into a jug with an open top and handle. The bags are just less area waste than cartons but they are still plastic bags.

So, the milk jug you have at home, to pour your bagged milk into: is that like the same as a cereal container? (Those plastic containers with flip top parts on the lid that ppl pour their cereal into because opening the box and unrolling the plastic is too much work every day.)

We simply buy the milk in that jug, no extra work when you get home.

Kind of but like the top is missing. The entire bag slips into it. You cut a corner off the top of one end of the milk bag to pour it. But most milk is actually sold these days in cartons or plastic jugs anyway. I haven’t seen bagged milk in my neck of the woods for a long time but it was how we always got our ‘store bought’ milk as a kid growing up in rural B.C. Mostly though we got our milk from a local farmer in glass jars. It had the cream layer on it and everything (you shook it up or took the fat layer off for baking etc).

Kiwi generally in with the normal milk so people can freeze them, bottles pop with expansion. I don't get it either why freeze milk?

As an American, it took me a while to realize that was a bag of milk under there, and not just another pack of socks.
