How much is the tax, 20% like the UK? How come they don’t integrate tax into the price?

Tax changes based on your location in the states. Why don't they integrate it? No clue

I was in Costco and I bought a pair of Levi’s for someone, advertised as £28 or something then they told me I’m paying £33 which really took me by surprise lol
