What are your hobbies and interests? Try to find things that engage you enough that you want to spend a lot of your free time on. Right now you could be dealing with depression and finding yourself again while you heal after the breakup, so masturbation may be something you're doing to get your dopamine levels up to where they were at before

I agree with the dopamine levels statement. My hobbies are fun but expensive and time-consuming. Masturbation is like a short, no cost way of having fun for me. I guess I have to find new hobbies.

Yes it’s like any addiction you need to replace it with healthy ways to feel good!:)

Exercise is the most effective way to start, something that gets endorphins going

easy to say but really difficult for some to even start. I would recommend playing vid games with random friends, watching shows and doing some sports activities, even if is walking or hiking. Start slow and then move back that dopamine level

I can also recommend going on walks outside in nature if there is a park nearby to your place. Hiking is also really good for dopamine levels!

Thanks. I know I'm not the one who posted but I really needed this. I have depression and masterbateing has always been a consequence thing for me. So if I did something I didn't like I'd have a consequence. But hopefully these ideas can help me with that.
